You can either use FTP software (example CuteFTP)
or you can use Web Page Design software (example Microsoft Front Page)
to upload your web pages to the web space you have purchased from us. |

Where do I get
my FTP login information? |
| |
| |
To retrieve your ftp login information please login
to your hosting Control
Panel.
1. Click on the link labeled "Domains".
2. Click on the domain name you wish to retrieve the ftp login information
for.
3. Click on the image labeled "FTP Accounts"
4. Click on the existing FTP User already listed. This is your FTP
Username.
5. Type in a new password with a minimum of 6 characters in lenght.
Click the button located next to the "Save" text. |

Please create a new FTP Username and give it read/write
permissions to the / directory. |

Your main page should be default.asp or default.htm,
make sure it is .htm not .html or your website will not show up. |

How do I cancel
my webhosting? |

Any request for cancellation of Stargate's Hosting
Service must be received via Phone with Stargate's Customer Service
Team at 1-630-369-1651 xt. 19. Informal email is not accepted.
Failure to cancel your hosting account via the proper procedure will result
in the continuation of your Hosting Service and the associated service
Charges that apply. Please be aware that failure to pay the service bills
and/or changing nameservers DOES NOT terminate your Stargate Hosting Service
and your account will remain active and you will continue to be charged
until a cancellation is received. Failure to renew or restore your domain
name also does not automatically terminate your hosting service. The proper
cancellation procedure is still required.

Your web hosting account is hosted on top of the
line servers that have Windows 2003 Advanced Serverİ installed on them. |

How do I install
Microsoft Frontpage 2002 Extensions? |

| |
To have Microsoft Front Page Extensions installed
on your hosting account create a hosting support ticket with the following
information:
1. Domain: Domain name listed in the hosting account
2. Subject: FrontPage Installation Request
3. FrontPage extensions will be installed by a experienced FrontPage
technician and you will be notified through your support case of
completion.
Please note: It is not recommended to use FTP and FrontPage extensions
together. We suggest using only FrontPage or FTP.
This feature is only available on the Intro, Starter, Pro, Premier,
and Ecommerce Windows Plans. |

What is the
path to the Perl Interpreter? |

Since your web site is housed on a Windows Platform
Server , you do not need to include the path to the Perl/CGI interpreter
on any of your scripts. The path to Perl is automatically setup in
the system variables on the server. |

Why can't
I use the CHMOD command on my web hosting account? |
| |

The CHMOD command is only valid on Unix OS Servers.
Please create a support case to be moved to our Linux hosting if you
need to use these types of commands or create a support case to have
permissions manually changed for you. |

path to the Send Mail program on my web hosting account? |

We do not run Send Mail on any of our web hosting
servers. Please create a support ticket to see what your SMTP Server
Name is on your account. |

The Internal Server Error is a setting on your browser
you need to set so you can actually see the error message. Please go
to the Tools Menu in your IE browser. Choose Internet Options. Click
the Advanced Tab. Look for the following option that is located in
the Browsing Section: "Show friendly HTTP Error Messages." You need
to uncheck that option. Hit Apply and then Save. Now refresh your web
page. This will show you the true error message you are receiving. |

RPC server is unavailable." message when I try to view my website or

The "RPC Server server is unavailable" error message
simply means that the Authentication Server has no available connections
to process your request. Simply refresh your web page, and you should
then be able to view your web site and/or login to your Web Hosting
Control Panel. |

up URL Forwarding if I am on a hosting plan? |

You can set up URL Forwarding manually by adding
a few files that will redirect your site to a specified URL. You will
first need to download the following zip file at http://www.stargate.com/us/url.zip and
extract it. Then you will need to edit the URLforward.txt file to where
you want the forwarding to point. Finally you can upload the needed
files to the wwwroot folder in your web space. From there, your URL
Forwarding will work instantly. |

You will need to use CDONTS for your mail features.

Our hours of maintenance are usually Monday - Friday
6 AM to 8 AM CST. Typically, planned maintenance consists of virus
updates, Spam filter updates, and general server software and hardware
upgrades. |
